Jum'at, 11-07-2025

Luka Modric Ends Glorious Real Madrid Career, Set for New Chapter at AC Milan

Jakarta – Luka Modric has officially ended his incredible journey with Real Madrid. The Croatian midfielder closes this chapter with a remarkable achievement: 28 trophies, making him the most decorated player in the club’s history.

Modric’s final appearance for Los Blancos came in a 0-4 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain in the semifinals of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. That match marked the end of his 13-year tenure at Santiago Bernabéu.

Throughout his time with Madrid, Modric played nearly 600 matches across all competitions and collected an impressive array of silverware, including six UEFA Champions League titles, four LaLiga championships, two Copa del Rey trophies, and the prestigious Ballon d'Or in 2018.

"This has been an unforgettable journey. Everything I've achieved here brings me immense joy, even as it comes to an end,” Modric said, as quoted by Daily Mail. “Real Madrid has given me everything. I've grown not only as a player but also as a person. For that, I will always be grateful and remain a Madridista forever.”

The 39-year-old also expressed deep appreciation for the fans’ affection over the years. “The love they’ve shown me has been genuine and overwhelming. That can’t be faked or taken for granted. People don’t love you just because you play for Real Madrid—they truly embraced me, and that means everything.”

While his story with Real Madrid has concluded, Modric is not hanging up his boots just yet. Reports suggest he is set to continue his playing career in Italy with AC Milan.

Fluminense vs Chelsea 0-2, The Blues Advance to 2025 Club World Cup Final

Rabu, 09-07-2025 06.12 WIB

Chelsea Book Spot in Club World Cup Final After Beating Fluminense 2-0

New Jersey – Chelsea advanced to the final of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup after a convincing 2-0 win over Brazilian side Fluminense in the semifinal clash held at MetLife Stadium, early Wednesday morning (July 9, WIB).

From the first whistle, The Blues controlled the tempo of the game. Starting with new signing Joao Pedro up front, Chelsea created numerous early chances. Marc Cucurella and Enzo Fernandez were among the first to test the Fluminense defense.

The breakthrough came in the 18th minute. Joao Pedro opened the scoring with a stunning long-range strike, giving Chelsea a 1-0 lead and igniting the crowd in New Jersey.

Chelsea continued to dominate after the goal, limiting Fluminense’s attacking opportunities. The Brazilian side nearly earned a penalty in the 34th minute after Ignacio was brought down by Joao Pedro, but VAR revealed the foul occurred just outside the box, canceling the spot-kick.

The 1-0 scoreline remained unchanged at halftime, and Chelsea maintained their dominance in the second half.

Joao Pedro doubled the lead in the 56th minute with a composed finish inside the box after a brilliant solo run on a quick counterattack. The forward, recently acquired from Brighton & Hove Albion, completed his brace and firmly put Chelsea in the driver’s seat.

The second goal seemed to deflate Fluminense, who struggled to respond as Chelsea calmly kept possession and continued to pose threats.

In the closing minutes, Fluminense made a late push, but Chelsea’s defense held strong to preserve the clean sheet and secure their place in the final.

With this result, Chelsea move on to the 2025 Club World Cup final, where they will face the winner of the other semifinal between Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, scheduled for early Thursday morning (July 10, WIB).

Los Blancos looked comfortable with a 2-0 lead heading into stoppage time, but late drama ensued. Dortmund managed to pull two goals back through Maximilian Beier and a penalty by Serhou Guirassy, bringing the score to 2-3. However, Kylian Mbappé had already scored in between, sealing the narrow win for Madrid.

Paris Saint-Germain joined the semifinal lineup after a hard-fought 2-0 win over Bayern Munich. The match was intense, with Bayern initially finding the net in the first half through Dayot Upamecano, but the goal was disallowed following a VAR review for offside.

PSG's goals came from Desire Doué and Ousmane Dembélé. Despite being reduced to nine men late in the game, the French side held on for victory.

A day earlier, Fluminense and Chelsea had already secured their semifinal berths.

Fluminense defeated Al Hilal 2-1, with Matheus Martinelli and Hercules scoring the decisive goals for the Brazilian side.

Jamal Musiala Suffers Serious Injury, Bayern Munich Lose Key Asset in 2025 FIFA Club World Cup

Jakarta – Bayern Munich endured a double blow at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. Not only were they eliminated after a 2-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the semifinal qualification match, but they also lost their star midfielder Jamal Musiala to a severe injury.

The unfortunate incident occurred near the end of the first half when Musiala attempted to win the ball from PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. During the clash, Donnarumma’s body unintentionally landed on Musiala’s left leg. Replays showed the young player’s ankle bending at a horrifying angle, prompting Donnarumma to cover his face in shock, unable to watch Musiala in agony on the pitch.

According to a report from German outlet BILD, initial medical examinations confirmed that Musiala suffered a fractured fibula in his left leg, along with ligament damage. The estimated recovery time is around 4 to 5 months.

Tribuna added that it is highly unlikely the 22-year-old will return to competitive football in 2025, marking a major setback for Bayern Munich, given Musiala's pivotal role in the team.

Bayern’s sporting director, Max Eberl, expressed his sympathy. “This is clearly a very tough moment for Jamal. He’s disappointed and heartbroken. We all know how much he loves the game. But here at Bayern, we are a family – and we’ll be with him every step of the way,” said Eberl.

Musiala is now set to undergo intensive rehabilitation in hopes of returning to the pitch in top form. (Zulrzk)

Catterall vs Eubank Stopped Due to Head Clash, Catterall Wins on Points

Jack Catterall Scores Unanimous Decision Win Over Harlem Eubank After Fight Stopped Early Due to Cuts

Manchester, England – July 6, 2025

Jack Catterall claimed a unanimous decision victory over Harlem Eubank in a welterweight bout that was stopped early due to cuts on both fighters. The fight ended after six rounds at AO Arena in Manchester on Saturday night, following an accidental clash of heads that caused significant damage to both men.

This bout marked Catterall’s debut at welterweight, and although his performance wasn’t particularly explosive, he maintained control and composure throughout. The judges awarded Catterall the win with scores of 69-66 (twice) and 69-65, reinforcing his reputation as one of the most seasoned fighters in the division.

From the opening bell, Eubank attempted to disrupt Catterall’s rhythm with his signature showboating, waving his lead hand in front of the southpaw from Chorley. However, the tactic failed to faze Catterall, who repeatedly landed accurate left hands in response.

Round after round, Catterall calmly outboxed the increasingly frustrated Eubank. Although Eubank landed his best shot of the fight—a clean right hand to Catterall’s chin in the fourth round—he couldn’t follow it up effectively and was countered almost immediately.

The bout’s turning point came in the sixth round when both fighters went down after a tangle, then clashed heads during a clinch. The collision opened a severe cut above Catterall’s right eye and a cut over Eubank’s left eye, prompting the ringside doctor to assess the situation. Though the doctor initially allowed the fight to continue, referee Bob Williams stepped in and halted the contest before the start of round seven, citing the fighters’ safety.

Confusion followed the stoppage. Eubank briefly celebrated, thinking he had won, but it was soon clarified that the fight would go to the scorecards for a technical decision. All three judges had Catterall ahead, securing him the win.

The victory improves Catterall’s record to 31-1 (13 KOs) and positions him for a potential world title shot. Eubank, now 21-1 (9 KOs), suffered his first professional defeat and immediately called for a rematch. However, Catterall’s promoter Eddie Hearn dismissed the idea.

“A rematch doesn’t interest us,” Hearn stated. “Catterall showed he’s on another level. The next step is a world title.”

With this win, Catterall remains a key player in the welterweight landscape, and bigger opportunities now await him on the world stage. (Zulrzk)

Erick Thohir to Evaluate Satoru Mochizuki's Performance After Women's National Team Fails to Reach 2026 Asian Cup

PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir has announced a thorough evaluation of the Indonesian Women’s National Team coach, Satoru Mochizuki, following the team’s failure to qualify for the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup. Garuda Pertiwi suffered a 1-2 defeat against Taiwan in the final Group D qualifier match held at Indomilk Arena on Saturday (July 5, 2025).

The defeat left Indonesia in third place in the group with only three points, coming from one win and two losses. Although disappointed with the outcome, Erick has not made a final decision regarding the future of the Japanese coach.

“His contract runs until December 2025. We will review it thoroughly,” Erick said.

He also expressed his appreciation for the team's efforts, noting that they had limited preparation time compared to their opponents. Taiwan, he pointed out, had been preparing with their senior team for two years, while Indonesia had only formed a new team a few months prior.

“I think the players performed quite well today, even though we lost. Their performance was much better compared to the match against Pakistan. That deserves recognition,” he added. (Zulrzk)

Noni Madueke Agrees to Join Arsenal, Only Waiting for Chelsea's Approval

London – Noni Madueke One Step Away from Joining Arsenal

Chelsea winger Noni Madueke is reportedly on the verge of joining Arsenal, having already reached a personal agreement with the North London club.

Madueke has decided to leave Chelsea following the arrival of Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund. With Gittens’ addition, Chelsea now have at least 12 attacking players in their squad, including new signings Liam Delap and Joao Pedro.

With the 2026 World Cup on the horizon, Madueke is seeking more guaranteed playing time, which influenced his decision to accept Arsenal’s offer. The Gunners are currently looking for a reliable backup for Bukayo Saka on the right wing, and Madueke is seen as a player who can offer healthy competition.

According to The Athletic, the 23-year-old has agreed to contract terms with Arsenal and now only needs Chelsea's approval to complete the transfer.

Madueke is still under contract with Chelsea until 2030, having joined from PSV Eindhoven in January 2023. Therefore, Arsenal will need to spend at least £45 million (approximately IDR 900 billion) to secure his signature.

So far, Arsenal have only signed Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea this summer, in a £5 million deal. Will Madueke be the next to follow him to the Emirates Stadium?

Real Madrid Advance to Club World Cup Semifinals After Thrilling 3–2 Win Over Dortmund

New Jersey, July 5, 2025 — Real Madrid secured their place in the semifinals of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 after edging past Borussia Dortmund in a tense and action-packed match that ended 3–2 at MetLife Stadium, USA.

First Half: Madrid in Total Control

From the opening whistle, Los Blancos imposed their tempo. Their dynamic midfield play and quick wing attacks paid off early, as Gonzalo García opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a composed finish from an Arda Güler assist.

Just nine minutes later, Madrid doubled their lead. Full-back Fran García made a well-timed run and buried the ball into the net after receiving a sharp through pass from Trent Alexander-Arnold, sending Madrid 2–0 ahead at halftime.

Second Half: Dortmund Fight Back, Madrid Hold Firm

Dortmund came out fighting in the second half, pushing Madrid back with a flurry of attacks from wide areas. Still, Madrid’s defense—anchored by Antonio Rüdiger and Aurélien Tchouaméni—held strong.

The match exploded in stoppage time. In the 90+3rd minute, Maximilian Beier pulled one back for Dortmund, capitalizing on a lapse in Madrid's defense.

But Madrid responded almost instantly. One minute later, Kylian Mbappé, who had just come off the bench, rose highest to head home a perfect cross from Brahim Díaz, restoring the two-goal cushion at 3–1.

Red Card & Penalty Drama

The drama didn’t end there. In the 90+6th minute, Madrid defender Dean Huijsen was sent off after committing a last-man foul inside the box. Referee awarded a penalty, which Serhou Guirassy coolly converted to make it 3–2.

Dortmund threw everything forward in the final seconds, but Madrid held their ground until the final whistle.

Madrid Set for Semifinal Showdown vs PSG

With this result, Real Madrid advance to the semifinals, where they will face Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), who earlier eliminated Bayern Munich with a 2–0 win. The upcoming clash is expected to be one of the tournament’s marquee matchups. (Zulrzk)

Paul Pogba Officially Joins AS Monaco, Ready to Challenge PSG’s Dominance in Ligue 1

Monaco – French midfielder Paul Pogba has officially signed with AS Monaco on a two-year contract, marking a fresh start after a challenging period at Juventus.

Pogba joins on a free transfer after Juventus terminated his contract. The 2023/2024 season was particularly tough for the 32-year-old, who was involved in a doping case. Fortunately, he won his appeal and avoided a lengthy playing ban.

Interestingly, despite being born in France, this will be Pogba’s first time playing in Ligue 1. He began his professional career in Manchester United’s academy, rose to prominence at Juventus, returned to United, then rejoined Juventus—now he embarks on a new journey in his homeland.

In an interview with Tribuna, Pogba expressed his excitement about this new chapter with Monaco. He’s determined to help the club compete at the highest level and challenge the dominance of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

"I didn’t come here to lose. Everyone knows PSG is the strongest team in France, and now one of the best in Europe. But I came here to win and bring Monaco back to the top," said Pogba firmly.

Beyond his ambitions on the pitch, Pogba also aims to mentor Monaco’s younger players. He sees pressure as part of the game—and a driving force.

"I want to help the young players. I have the experience to share, and I hope to guide them to reach the highest level," he added.

With Pogba’s arrival, AS Monaco hopes to strengthen their midfield and return to title contention in Ligue 1.

Donald Trump Plans Spectacular UFC Fight at the White House Lawn for America’s 250th Independence Celebration

Washington D.C., CNN Indonesia — Former U.S. President Donald Trump has announced a bold and surprising plan to host a massive Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) event on the White House lawn as part of the country’s 250th Independence Day celebration on July 4, 2026.

Speaking at a rally in Iowa, Trump shared his vision of transforming the iconic grounds of the White House into an arena for a historic fight that could draw thousands of spectators. He stated that the expansive space has enormous potential for hosting a once-in-a-lifetime event.

“we’ve got a lot of land there. It can be used for something extraordinary,” Trump said, as quoted by ESPN on Thursday morning (July 4, WIB).

Trump, known for his close ties with UFC President Dana White, has not yet revealed specific details about the match, such as which fighters would participate or how the event would be organized. However, he hinted that the fight could accommodate over 20,000 spectators and would be infused with patriotism and world-class entertainment.

“Just imagine — an epic fight, on the White House lawn, right in the heart of the capital. It will be historic,” Trump declared enthusiastically to his supporters.

In addition to the UFC fight, Trump highlighted a series of major events planned for the ‘America 250’ celebration. These include performances by young athletes, high school students, and activities across national parks and historical landmarks throughout the country.

Thomas Mueller Officially Departs Bayern Munich After 25 Years: “No Pain, Only Gratitude”

Munich – The Thomas Mueller era at Bayern Munich has officially come to an end. After 25 years of service, the club legend will not extend his contract, which is set to expire in the summer of 2025 following the FIFA Club World Cup.

Bayern’s decision not to renew Mueller’s deal marks the conclusion of a remarkable journey with the Bundesliga giants. Still, Mueller responded to the news with dignity and a sense of peace.

“There’s no pain or bitterness,” Mueller told CBS. “In the relationship between a player and a club, no matter how special or romantic it might be, it ultimately comes down to business or football decisions.”

The 35-year-old admitted that such farewells are inevitable in professional football, but he emphasized that he has always felt appreciated by the club and its executives.

“I never felt any sense of disrespect from the club. On the contrary, I truly feel they’ve shown a great deal of gratitude for everything I’ve done,” he added.

Mueller leaves behind a legacy at Bayern Munich. He made 755 appearances, scored 250 goals, and provided 276 assists. With the club, he lifted 33 trophies, including the Champions League, Bundesliga titles, and various domestic honors.

Although he won't be retiring at Bayern, Mueller insists that his relationship with the club remains strong. “The fans reflect what I feel. But from the management side, I’ve always sensed a genuine appreciation,” he said.

With Mueller’s departure from Allianz Arena, Bayern loses not just a player, but a true icon who has been the face of the club for over two decades. (Zulrzk)

A New Era in Madrid: Alonso's Attractive Style Begins to Emerge

Miami – Real Madrid Unveil a New Identity Under Xabi Alonso’s Leadership

Real Madrid are showing a fresh identity under new head coach Xabi Alonso. A fluid and aggressive style of play has become the hallmark of Los Blancos, who have now advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

Madrid secured their spot in the last eight after a narrow 1-0 victory over Juventus in the Round of 16. The only goal of the match came from Gonzalo Garcia, who delivered an impressive performance.

Although the squad initially struggled to adapt, Madrid’s players have gradually come to understand and implement Alonso’s tactical system. This approach stands in sharp contrast to the more pragmatic style used during Carlo Ancelotti’s tenure.

The transformation has earned praise from club legend Guti Hernandez. In a casual pitchside conversation with Alonso after the match against Juventus, Guti expressed his admiration for Madrid’s increasingly dynamic midfield.

“This team is very fluid. Arda Güler and Tchouaméni switch positions effortlessly,” Guti said in an interview with DAZN.

Alonso responded by highlighting the importance of attacking full-backs in his system. He emphasized high pressing as a key element of Madrid’s new approach.

“Once we push forward, the full-backs need to get higher and play more aggressively. We must press, close down spaces, and deny the opposition time on the ball. We can’t afford to play with fear,” Alonso asserted.

With this new approach, Madrid look ready to navigate the tournament and compete for the title under a fresh, energetic leadership. (Zulrzk)
